Designing Shogun Sushi from conception to final product required research of the user as well as the location because certain location prefer ordering takeout from other franchise. The first step after conducting research is to begin sketching how the app would look like. In UX, we call this phase the ideation phase, where we employ a method known as the "Crazy Eights" to help us come up with eight different versions of a product within an 8 minute window.
Setting 8 minutes on a timer, I folded a piece of paper 3 times width-wise to delineate 8 separate area. I then spent 1 minute drawing out any idea that came to mind. After the 8 minutes elapsed, I went over each sketch to refine some areas that were very clear, I then drew a star next to each element that I liked best.
A wireframe is a basic outline of a digital experience, like an app or website. It mainly consists on lines and shapes to define blocks and elements. UX designer create wireframes because it is quick to make, it gives an overall representation of how the product will look like and it is inexpensive to create. After the wireframe is created, I linked elements to create a low fidelity prototype.
A low fidelity prototype allows for preliminary testing to see what works and what does not. Making any necessary changes based on the feedback received, we can now move on to the Mockup phase.

Creating mockups is the final step before making the high fidelity prototype. Mockups are high fidelity designs that reflect the layout created during the wire framing process. After all of the design has been completed, I linked every screen to allow for an immersive experience navigating the app.
